It is widely acknowledged that analog processing is unsurpassed in creativity and character even for digital material.

Digital processing is made by Weiss EQ1 digital EQ and the DS1 mkII frequency compressor – limiter- deesser of the same maker.
In analogue domain there is a hi-end analogue chain with Dangerous Music analog mastering console that include theDangerous Master and Dangerous Monitor. Analog processing are made by Avalon 2077 mastering EQ , Manley Massive Passive tube EQ, Dangerous BAX baxandall EQ as also Charter Oak SCL-1 Compressor. For our summing techniques as also mastering in stems, we use the the Thermionic Fat Bastard tube summing mixer.
Conversion of analog signals to digital and digital signals to analog are very important and at Athens Mastering we frequently test all available solutions for transparent and accurate conversion. We choose the Weiss ADC2 and DAC1 as also Dangerous Monitor, Grace m903 and Metric Halo LIO-8 for our different conversion needs.

We are able to choose and use a variety of algorithms among which are SBM by Sony and POW-R re-dithering – noise shaping, performed by dedicated hardware equipment such as Weiss SFC2, as also software such as Weiss Saracon.
We faced also the threat of jitter with anti-jitter devices by Weiss.

Restoration and Remastering is a very important and critical section. 78 rpm old records to LPs and tapes or cassettes are processed in an ideal way by NoNoise system of Sonic Solutions and Weiss famous DNA1 restoration system. Results are impressive in restoring the material without or with a minimal change in the original character of the recordings.
